We’re Ready For Some NFL Football!

The 4 1/2 month NFL lockout ended yesterday after players approved a ten-year collective bargaining agreement.

And while a “no season” year never seemed to be a possibility there’s relief among players, owners and fans that the 2011/2112 is officially about to begin.

There’s no way the owners we’re going to let a business that generates $9 billion in annual league revenues whither over an entire season. Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, who’s no-nonsense approach to negotiations was key to resolving differences between the owners and players.

In a press conference yesterday Kraft gave some advice to Washington, “I hope we gave a little lesson to the people in Washington because the debt crisis is lot easier to fix than this deal was,” said Kraft said after announcing NFL owners and players had agreed to end their labor standoff.

I suspect there are many who share Kraft’s opinion.
