Jon Stewart Makes UnHappy Meals Hilarious

Killer Fries

On November 4th I posted UnHappy Meals Are Toyless In SF. Soon after came “Woman Surprised By Influence Of Advertising”. Both posts poked fun at San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors vote to ban most of McDonald’s Happy Meals as they are now served. This made San Francisco the first major city to forbid restaurants from offering a free toy with fatty meals.

Imagine my glee when I saw the headline “‘Daily Show’ Skewers San Francisco’s Happy Meal Ban”. “The Daily Show” sent Aasif Mandvi to report on San Francisco’s “ban” on Happy Meals. In one five-minute segment, the comedy news program manages to set a trap for one of the politicians behind this ban — one that basically leads him into saying parents hold the key to childhood obesity and that some companies are more equal than other companies.

This is classic – I wish every day provided this much comedic content!
