Embrace Life – Always Wear Your Seatbelt

An “Embrace Life” video by the Sussex Safer Roads Partnership in the United Kingdom is spreading rapidly online.

It works because:

  • simple production – a refreshing contrast to most beer, auto and mobile phone ads
  • believable talent – can we move on from “Flo” in the Progressive spots
  • straight forward message – right?
  • heavy emotional salience

Posted on Jan. 28, the video generated more than a million views in its first two weeks online and continues to spread.

One of my favorite quotes from Ben Franklin “Well done is better than well said.” That’s definitely the case here.
